The Shure-Mure Sessions w/ Her | Comma Group
On 14.02.17 Comma Group is coming back to Sofia's party-calendar! After a long absence, the organization known for the melodic and emotional vibe of their parties invites the French band Her for their debut in Bulgaria.
Comma Group is an organization that has been active on the scene for more than six years, amassing solid experience and lots of fans. The team got into the Bulgarian nightlife with several smaller parties, but their big break came with their Beach Banquet concept in the summer of 2012 with guests Lee Foss and Nina Kraviz - both of them names that need no introductions. What followed was a series of parties at the now closed Blender Club in Sofia and at Cacao Beach on the coast of the Black Sea. Several big names like Finnebassen, Phonique, Blond:ish, Miguel Campbell, Noir, Nora En Pure were invited and Comma Group was applauded by the deep and tech house fans in the country.
After Blender's closure the organization found itself in the tough position of searching for a new location. And while the summer parties continued with guests Steve Lawler, Uto Karem and Phonique, the situation in the capital was difficult. A collaboration with Yalta Club followed that resulted in a party with Francesca Lombardo, but it seems that was the end of their partnership. Comma's last big event in Sofia was their birthday festivity with guest Delilah /live/ and was sold out a month before the event's date. That party was held at Sofia Live Club and it seems this is the new location that the team is going to be using, because on Valentine's Day we will see the French band Her there.
Her is a French band which name comes from the inspiration that the five musicians feel for the more beautiful half of the world. The themes that the group incorporates in their music are love, eroticism and powerful, emancipated and candid sensuality, while their music is nuanced and the vocals - emotional. They showcase their love for the Woman without ever feeling the need to hide behind the walls that men generally erect around their feelings. From the burning passion in "Quite Like", through the meeting with the loved one in "Five Minutes", the sense of missing somebody in "Her" to the marriage in "Union", the band follows their concept in every track they record. Centered around the two vocalists Victor Solf and Simon Carpentier, the group's works are entirely in English without any sign of a French accent. In interviews, the group has actually shared amusing stories about French fans who come and express their respect and love for the band... in English, having mistaken them for Brits. Her is coming to Bulgaria with all of their members and we can look forward to a full band concert.
The Frenchmen are going to be supported by Comma's long-lasting resident DJ, Bagerziev. The party is part of "The Shure-Mure Sessions" concept, which the organization created because they felt the need for a more intimate party night with a melodic sound and a relaxing vibe. The event is 18+ and the headliner will be on at around 21:30. Tickets are available through Eventim.bg's network for 25 lv.
