Brighton-based KLAX crew returns to Critical Music
The time has come for the British trio KLAX to return to the Critical Music imprint. During 2015 the project debuted on Kasra's brand when they took part in the Systems series. Their new release goes under the name of 'Rekanize' and is composed of four original tracks. Apart from being promoted by Critical Music, the release is also enjoys the support of respected medias like Resident Advisor, Drum and Bass Arena and Friction's BBC Radio 1 Show.'Rekanize' EP's digital edition will be out on the 16th of January and will be available for download on all of the biggest distribution networks. On their website, Critical Music already released the vinyl edition of the current installment for pre-order with the option to buy a bundle package containing wax and a t-shirt.
Risk It was the first available for hearing. The tune was exclusively available for stream on Resident Advisor. The minimal drum section with moving tribal elements, the short vocal samples and numerous high-pitched sounds nailed our attention to the release. Drum and Bass Arena showcased Flouro Riddim, which is the heaviest track in the EP. A highly-intensive and melodic Neurofunk track, carefully crafted for the headz that cherish the more rapidly sounding dnb emotions. The preview of The Sway was initially heard on Friction live on BBC Radio 1. The fast paced beat of the track is perfectly supported by the heavy-hitting bass line while the female voice on the tune delivers the necessary freshness and also reminds us how good Klax are when it comes to picking their sounds. On Friday Critical Music added the tittle track Rekanize, which is the last track of the 'Rekanize' EP. The tune is very minimal, with an underlined hip-hop charge and well-processed ragga sample.
