Let it Roll Open Air 2015 - Stages & Artists (1/4)

In 2015 LiR Summer is going to be held between the 30th July and 1st of August near Prague. For the first time the festival is going to be 3 days long. On an enormous  area seven stages are going to be set up with their individual design. It is expected that more than 15,000 fans will have the chance to hear the biggest stars in the world and Czech scenes. The names of the participants are already announced and the tickets are sold like hotcakes.

Location - Milovice Airfield is about 25 km far away from the city of Praha. Train from Czech capital leaves every half hour to the festival. It is a massive airport outdoor area with no limits. It will be comfort for dancing, because the field is mud-less, dust-less and gravel-less. For the first year, the area allows the making of second outdoor stage.


LET IT ROLL Main Stage
In the past years the main stage was taken over mainly by RAM Records and Hospital Records but with the year 2015 changes are coming. Let It Roll main stages will present the apex of the D&B scene, covering the wide spectrum from mainstream to heavy neurofunk.

Blackout Recordings was founded and is ran by the famous Dutch project Black Sun Empire. Every fan of dark drum & bass will have his main base for the night clear. Some of the artists releasing on Blackout are Audio, BTK, Concept Vision, Neonlight, Optiv, Pythius, Segment, State of Mind, Telekinesis, The Upbeats and of course Black Sun Empire.

Grown from a simple idea driven by a commitment to putting out the best music the scene has to offer, it has now become one of the most well respected electronic dance music labels in the UK. Nurturing new talent and releasing some of the freshest breaks and beats from the likes of Enei, Mefjus, Emperor, Foreign Concept, Break, Rockwell, Sabre, Stray, Cyantific, Marcus Intalex, S.P.Y, Calibre, Total Science and many more, it has gone on to build a loyal following around the world driven on by Kasra’s never ending quest to release quality underground bass music.

Hungarian neurofunk label Eatbrain will have debut of their own label night on Let It Roll. Founded in 2011 by Jade, Eatbrain currently belongs to the most progressive neurofunk labels around and we know that true neurofunk madness will be delivered. It is the hard and heavy zombie home of bulgarian producer L 33Aeph, Black Sun Empire, Chirs.SU, Computerartist, QO, Dabs, Dose, Neonlight, Mindscape, State of Mind, Teddykillerz and many more. 

Metalheadz is a pioneering drum and bass record label based in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1994 by Kemistry & Storm and Goldie, it has been home to some of the drum and bass scene's brightest talent and is notable for the high quality of its back catalogue. Goldie, Ulterior Motive, Lenzman, DLR, Dillinja, Storm, Photek, Jubei and many more has released their most significant tunes here.

Twenty years ago, three men walked into the club scene. DJ Hype, Pascal and Zinc – collectively True Playaz – were to create iconic tunes such as Peace, Love & Unity, 138 Trek, True Playaz Anthem and Super Sharp Shooter which shaped the sound of the dnb genre and influenced many production legends of today. Some of the other artists releasing on Playaz are: Prolix, Hype, Subzero, Lynx, Pascal, Taxman, Original Sin,

Shogun Audio was founded back in 2004 by the one and only Friction. Since then this label has it's own well respected place in the drum & bass scene with the uncommercial releases, colorful spectrum of electronica and crossovers. Many top quality artists have released their jewels here including Icicle , Alix Perez, Rockwell or SpectraSoul.


Spor - John Gooch aka SPOR aka Feed Me have made his comeback this year with his famous dark Drum & Bass alterego with his production on the level of world known names like Noisia and Black Sun Empire. In year 2009 he was nominated as the best producent on Breakbeat.co.uk and over all released huge amount of his own releases and remixes. 
John, the founder of dark D&B label Lifted, has later on founded the record label Sotto Voce to release music under the Feed Me alias as well as provide a platform for new, aspiring artists to release their music.

Metrik - Tom Mundell a.k.a Metrik is a London based DJ / producer who has been blowing the scene to pieces with his euphoric, rave-inspired productions. Known for impressing crowds across the UK, Europe and across the world with his peaktime dancefloor tunes featuring big hooks and catchy melodies, Metrik has certainly captured the imagination of many fans already and will undoubtedly continue to do so in the coming months and years.

Black Sun Empire - Black Sun Empire represent the finest in dark and tech fueled dance-floor drum & bass. Since bursting onto the scene back in 2000, they’ve continued to develop their own unique style and sound, releasing numerous singles as well as four full-length LPs and establishing themselves as leaders in the field. With their impressive DJ skills and inspirational productions, Black Sun Empire have reached far beyond their native Holland. 

State of Mind - Hailing from Auckland, New Zealand, State of Mind are the duo of Stu Maxwell and Patrick Hawkings. They form in 2005 and have released 4 studio album and 1 live album. The list of labels worked with reads like a who's who of Drum & Bass scene. It includes Blackout, Black Sun Empire, Universal, Uprising, Shogun, Viper, EatbrainCitrus, 31 Records and more. State of Mind are now signed to Black Sun Empire's flahship "Blackout". not content being mere producers, State of Mind also run their own label SOM Music. With over 30 releases from a wide range global artists SOM Music is regarded as a label at the forefront of a harder dnb. 

Misanthrop - Misanthrop is Michael Braeuninger, based in Hamburg, Germany. He was caught up by the dark sounds and menacing beats of drum and bass in the nineties, as it developed more into an intense musical hybrid. This is when he decided to produce his own tracks under the name Misanthrop, which enables him to use music as a medium to express personal experiences of human interactions. His musical arrangements symbolicly oppose to the lack of candour his aim is to break through the borders of conventions to set new unusal grounds...

Pythius - Following an impressive run of releases from the likes of State Of Mind, The Upbeats and most recently Neonlight already in 2014, Black Sun Empire’s genre defining drum & bass imprint ‘Blackout’ are proud to announce newest signing to their already impressive roster -Dutch DJ/producer Pythius. After releasing his debute five-track EP ‘Abandon’ on Blackout Music, Pythius’ hard-hitting, Neurofunk style builds on Blackout’s reputation for unearthing some of the best up-and-coming producer talent.

Enei - Hailing from St. Petersburg in Russia it was way back in 2003 that a young Alexey Egorchenkov first got the taste for the musical drug Drum & Bass. Like many others before him he became hooked, dabbling with his own production and DJing soon after. Taking the artist name Enei his career began to blossom giving him star status in his beloved Russia and far but it wasn’t until 2007 that things really began to escalate.

Ivy Lab - At the start of 2012, SabreStray and Halogenix teamed up to drop one of the most blissful pieces of drum & bass that year, Oblique. The group came together as friends who shared an interest in each other’s work as well as the same specific production ethos and sonic goals. Since initial collaborations ‘Askari’ and ‘St.Clair,’ it has been their most recent success with ‘Oblique’ that significantly attracted support from some of the highest celebrated DJs in the scene today. Naturally things have progressed since, cementing their new found coalition as Ivy Lab.

Emperor One of the new breed of uber-talented producers currently making waves within the drum & bass community is Emperor. Having proved himself with some heavyweight D&B releases on Critical, Symmetry, Titan, Ammunition and some exquisite dubstep gems on the Caliber label, it was not long before Emperor became a household name as he began an early affiliation with scene stalwart Kasra and the Critical family. 

Maztek - Maztek aka Matteo Cavo is a drum and bass neurofunk producer born in Rome, Italy. He began his career in 2004, after several releases on various independent record labels he was featured in 2012 on Renegade Hardware with his Single "Galactica/Odyssey".

Hype - He was an early DJ on one of London's pirate stations, Fantasy FM, and has been popular on the international DJ circuit, landing awards for Best Male DJ and Best Radio DJ (in 1994 and 1995, respectively) at the U.K.'s Hardcore Awards. He is also one of the London radio station Kiss 100's main attractions, and was a player in Suburban Base's compilation series, 'Drum and Bass Selection'. A champion of jungle's dancefloor purity, DJ Hype has also rallied consistently against jungle's compartmentalization into artificial "scenes" in the late 1990s.

Annix - 
Having cemented themselves firmly as two of the hottest prospects in the UK Drum and Bass scene, Konichi and Decimal Bass combined forces to create Annix and formed an affiliation with DJ Hype's Playaz in 2012 when 'Late Manouvre' found its way on to the 'The Flavours Vol. 4' EP.

Break - Break is a man who is at the top of his game, doing his own thing. Almost every track he makes is an out and out dance floor killer, and having played a lot of his tunes out and about, we can testify to their power and depth. Bringing the minimal style and deep bass that seem to be pre-requisite in everything he does and releasing on Symmetry Recordings whose discography is pretty much one classic after another.

Icicle - After commanding the attention of the masses with releases on labels such as Shogun Audio, Soul:R, Renegade Hardware and Critical, Icicle made the move from Holland to London in 2008 and exclusively signed to Shogun Audio.

SpectraSoul - Spectrasoul have a reputation among Drum & Bass heads that’s second to none. Vital members of DJ Friction’s irrepressible Shogun Audio movement, the duo have released music on only the very finest, most respected labels in the scene.
