Let it Roll Open Ari 2015 - Artists (2/4)

The second phase of line up announcements is done. Here are 12 big artists from 4 of the world greatest labels and 2 superstars on the Main Stage. Metalheadz have 5 new names. Label managers join Critical and Eatbrain. Blackout receives a strong power up and one british duo joins Shogun Audio.

Phase 2/4 Headliners:

Audio - Audio, the man behind one of the biggest tunes of the decade so far – ‘Headroom’ – mighty motifs and brutal blends have played an intrinsic role in drum & bass since the turn of the century. Honing his craft as in-house engineer at influential rave distributors Alphamagic during the late 90s, Gareth Greenall has gone on to chisel his own unmistakable underground sound as Audio, conjuring up one album on Tech Freak and three albums for Ed Rush & Optical’s Virus. He’s also provided discerning floors with countless singles on labels such as Subtitles, Renegade Hardware and Bad Taste

High Contrast - The name High Contrast needs no introduction any more, though when a young, fresh-faced Lincoln Barrett signed on the dotted line back in 2000 he was a complete unknown. Signed on the strength of his mini-disc demos, the Welsh wonder has smashed his way through the D+B scene and has become one of its iconic and much respected heroes.

Phase - His sound is best described by twisted bass, rhythmical experimentation, high contrast ambience, deep cinematic themes, explosive energy, and yet human analog soul and funk. One can easily say that within this style of music it is quite hard to find a comparable contemporary artist shaping a sound and musical movement in a similar way. Phace’s music is released on the world’s biggest indie labels such as Vision, OWSLA, Shohun Audio, Virus, Critical, and of course his own imprint Nosignal Recordings.

Telekinesis - Telekinesis are an up and coming two man outfit, driven by the creative minds of Smooth and Markoman. After working together for an extended length of time, they developed the 'Telekinesis' alias, and have begun to see immediate success. You can expect much more to come from this rising production duo.

Kasra - Since his first forays into drum & bass as a burgeoning young DJ, there's no doubt in 2011 that Kasra has made an indelible mark on the scene, a mark that continues to grow ever-stronger as his own Critical Music empire prospers.

Jade - The founder of his own label Eatbrain - a forward thinking imprint standing at the crux of heavy dancefloor rhythms and the razors edge of drum & bass. With a unique aesthetic and the expertly curated creative direction of Jade, Eatbrain has quickly grown into a global movement within the drum & bass community, with the support of the genre's finest.

Mindscape - "My name is Greg and I'm addicted to bass.
It started around 1997, when i heard the first drum and bass track in my life. I became a fanatic after the first dose. You know it's very addictive. First I was just partying and listening to tracks every day, but I felt like I needed more dnb to achieve the same effect like the first time, so i decided to make some music for myself around 1997."

Neonlight - Formed of Tobias and Jakob, Neonlight are now one of the Drum and Bass scene’s most highly regarded producing teams. In only three years the German based duo’s killer blend of musicality, attitude and sheer creativity has seen them work with DnB royalty, including labels such as Bad Taste, Trust in Music and Viper, and earned them countless fans in the process.

dBridge - A veteran producer and one of the most experienced artists in Drum & Bass, Darren White known as dBridge, is an artist whose multiple transformations and evolutions glide through a staggering list of achievements. Over the course of a long and distinguished career, he has been at the heart of some the most exciting collaborative partnerships Drum & Bass has ever seen, from Future Forces to Bad Company and Club Autonomic. dBridge has also devoted a large amount of focus to his label Exit Records, releasing compilations, ground-breaking singles, and artist LPs as he continues to mentor a new breed of producers inspired by his career.

Ant TC1 - Ant TC1, along with Hidden Agenda, founded Dispatch Recordings back in 2001. Ant originally helped out with the management side of the label before finding his feet within the realms of production, which was a natural progression for him having DJ'd on pirate radio and in clubs from the age of 15 (since 1993). His first release alongside frequent studio partner Stress Level appeared on Dispatch after almost 3 years of hard work getting their collective sound, where they felt it needed to be in the studio before even thinking about turning on the DAT recorder.

Lenzman - Fresh from this long stint in the studio finishing the album, Lenzman now readies himself for his second home, taking to the road once again to showcase his inimitable trademark sound to festivals and clubs from Australia to Asia, Europe to North America and beyond.

Ulterior Motive - Combining an open-minded creative approach with the technical skills and drive to bring their ideas to life, Ulterior Motive have already collaborated with the likes of Jubei, Rockwell, Zero T, Sabre and FD among others and have collabs with Phace, Hybris, Code 3 and much more. Demonstrating attention to detail, quality control and a strong work ethic, the versatile producers have their sights firmly set on the top with remix work from leading dance and drum & bass labels in the pipeline

DLR - DLR stepped up to his solo career, and he is stepping up in a big way. Straight off the back of his album last year with Octane 'Method... in the Madness' which was in the list of top 5 albums of the year, with seminal track 'Set up the Set' making it into Noisia's Top 10 for 2013 as well as endless airplay on Radio 1. He has begun this year in a dramatic way announcing a solo stance with impending releases on Metalheadz, DispatchTrendkill Records, Symmetry Recordings, and Shogun Audio

Technimatic - Peter Rogers and Andy Powell are award winning London-based duo, Technimatic
Both talented DJs in their own right, Pete and Andy have played throughout the world, from the USA to Australia. Their energetic sets feature music from right across the d&b spectrum, and reflect a deep passion and knowledge of the scene.
